Design issues with user experience as an online consumer with a color vision deficiency.

As of in today's world it seems as if if there has been a virtual explosion of the presence and reliability of color in design. The majority of design and user experience within technology (UX/UI) is very reliable upon color-coded buttons or lights to signify and make selections for the user. It is believed that these "eye-catching" colors will help clarify the main way-finding tools integrated into online sources to make it an easier and stress free experience.
However, some consumers remain limited in the ability to access this information due to many colors being partially or totally imperceptible causing it to not be processed or perceived in ways traditionally expected. Which therefore can leave them rather embarrassed, frustrated and uncomfortable.
Lighting and color of consumer safety in a retail setting can also be an issue for some.
